ThinkGeek Customer Service

I placed an order with ThinkGeek recently but the item was back-ordered. They immediately cancelled the order and refunded the cost.

.... but I wanted that thing...

I contacted customer service and they offered to give me a $25 credit (on a $6 item).

.... that's nice, but only size medium was back-ordered. they have it in large.....

When I asked customer service if they could just send me the item in large instead, they told me this was not a negotiation and that I could take the credit or not.

Seems like customer service is only interested in shutting people up with gift certificates instead of actually fixing peoples orders.

Interestingly, their jobs posting website lists "Customer Service Director" as an open position.

Good luck to the new guy....

Red light cameras

As if some natural karmic force was at work, not two months after i got my first red light camera ticket that i missed by a fraction of a second, the city voted to outlaw red light cameras and they pulled the plug this morning. Up yours big brother!

tech news

The playstation3 is once again cracked, this time permanently, Ultracapacitors are finally ready to see real-world use, and the Kinect is primed to bring minority-report style interfaces to personal computers. A good day in tech news! Now if only the joojoo hadnt been a complete flop.
